Don Lapre
I had thought that when the time finally
came to
write this review I would be overflowing with comments and criticisms
towards Don Lapre.
I guess now that that time is here, and some years have past, my very
hurt
feelings have softened a little. This guy took me for such a ride as a
kid (20 or so years old) that I am surprised I ever trusted any one
again.
Now back to the business of laying out the
truth
on Don Lapre. I have to say one other thing before I really get
started. To his credit, everything that ever was promised as far as
materials and information etc. was always delivered in a timely matter.
I can not say in all fairness that I was ever really scammed or
anything like that. I mean I guess I got what I ordered.
I used to get really pumped when his
infomercials
would come on T.V. nobody was doing anything like that at the time. You
couldn't help but be mystified by the story he told. All that money
made from a small apartment through tiny classified ads in newspapers
all over the country. Really cool stuff! , and it did make good sense
to me at the time. If you can make a small profit on one tiny add, why
not do the same ad in every newspaper all across the country?
Included with the program to make all this
work
was the secret directory of phone numbers to every newspaper across the
country. Now I thought I would be in business for sure. One of the
products or actually in this case a service to offer was your very own
1-900# to advertise.
You could have an actual psychic hot line
where
they would take all the calls and process the payments into your
account. I never went that route even at 20 years old I could see
through that but what I did have was a sports hot line. A little
something about me that most people that know me would agree with is
that I do not follow sports of any kind. So, why not advertise a sports
hot line for tips and such right? Yea O.K. Like I always say, you really
need to enjoy what you are doing or promoting if you want to be
believable.
So, long story short I do think that Don
Lapre is
a good business man and an expert no actually a pioneer in the
infomercial industry. Nobody could get you motivated to call and order
like Don was doing.
These days you can still find a site or two
for
Don Lapre. He is currently involved with some kind of vitamin sales or
something. His techniques were great about ten years ago, at least for
him they worked but I think it just spread too quickly and every one
was trying to use his system at the same time. These days it just flat
out does not work. People are far too smart.
Check this out... Going
through an old
dresser
drawer, and found the original, mint condition business card from my
days working with Don Lapre. So funny to find this... By the way the
phone number is no good, some attorney's office or something. Go figure.
Finally, one
program is making me really
good money online. Do not get involved with something just
because I or someone else says it is the greatest
thing ever. Click
